Planet Smoothie Introduces 3 Vegan Options!

On September 5, Planet Smoothie officially added three almond milk-based smoothie options to its menu, the chain's only vegan choices for customers to date. Almond milk is the first non-dairy milk alternative used, and the smoothies will be available until January 1, 2017, with almond milk remaining on the menu after that date.

The smoothies include Pineapple Tropi-Kale Twist, a blend of almond milk, leafy greens, passion fruit and pineapple, Salted Peanut Butter Cup, made with almond milk, cocoa, peanut butter, bananas, vanilla and sea salt, and Strawberry Chia Chiller, with almond milk, strawberries, bananas, orange juice and chia seeds.

According to PR News Wire, Nicole Butcher, national marketing manager for Planet Smoothie, stated:

"Almond milk is a fantastic option for consumers seeking dairy-free alternatives and it's so good you can't even taste the difference. Planet Smoothie is excited to launch almond milk as an option in stores and continue to satisfy all of our customers with delicious tasting products that cater to specific dietary needs."

For those interested in trying out these new smoothies, Planet Smoothie has approximately 110 locations in 18 states. Perhaps if demand is high, customers will continue seeing new vegan options after January 2017!
