Puppy Breeding Farm to be Used for Experimentation Given Planning Approval
A US-owned beagle breeding farm was given approval for planning by Communities Secretary Greg Clark of Hull. This comes at the heels of a significant decrease in dog experiments:
The number of dog experiments has declined substantially over the past 10 years, but this regressive decision could see that positive trend reversed,” claimed the group’s secretary Jan Creamer.
The US-based company – which remained unnamed, “will now aim to provide an improved supply of animals to the UK medical research community.” While the overwhelming response has been negative, only planning has been approved and “ministers are required to assess the application’s conformity with legislation and national and local planning policy…”
