UK's First All-Veg Pub is Open for Business!
Bruce Grey and his wife have been vegetarian for five years and found themselves wondering if Britain’s growing number of veggie cafes and restaurants included any pubs. When their search turned up with nothing, they decided to open up their own! The Adam and Eve is the first of its kind in the UK, serving up all-vegetarian fare – most of which can be made or already is vegan.
“When we were thinking of starting the pub we wanted to make it completely different from what we have at Small Bar and different again from the hundreds of other gastro-pubs in Bristol. We also wanted it to be a concept which we felt passionate and excited about – something which the staff and the whole team to get behind.”
For any skeptic expecting french fries and limp salads, the grub at The Adam and Eve will blow you away. A “diverse and delicious” menu has something for everyone, including Moroccan tagines and Japanese udon soup. The owners are hoping to drive people in with their innovative idea and to keep them as customers with their top shelf menu and friendly atmosphere.
