Fair Trade Fashion Show Includes Vegan Menu & Cruelty-Free Fashion
The second annual Fair Trade Fashion Show is set for July 16, at Cross Campus in Los Angeles. This year, the show’s ethics will also extend to animals, with vegan clothing and accessories and a plant-based menu!
The fundraising event, which begins at 6pm, will feature fair trade wine, local craft beer, as well as an organic and plant-based menu for all attendees. At 7pm there will be a panel discussion on ethical fashion, and the fashion show will begin shortly after at 8pm.
Sica Schmitz, co-host of the fashion show and founder of cruelty-free online boutique Bead & Reel–which will be featured during the show, stated:
“We’re bringing this entirely vegan event to a mostly non-vegan audience to show how fashionable, delicious, and enjoyable a vegan lifestyle can be.”
Proceeds from the ticket sales will be go towards The Peace Exchange’s non-profit sewing centers in the Congo. To find out more about the show and fundraiser, or to purchase tickets, visit this link.
