Canadian Publication Highlights Vegan Snacks for Super Bowl Sunday
Whether you care about it or not, Super Bowl Sunday is coming up on February 5 and a lot of the buzz seems to be around food and snacks. That is why I do not feel too guilty admitting that the most interested I have ever been about this event was when I saw a feature in the National Post highlighting vegan snack options by vegan cookbook author and restaurateur Isa Chandra Moskowitz, specifically from her latest cookbook, The Superfun Times Vegan Holiday Cookbook.
The feature describes the snacks as options that can “bring all the kick and creamy comfort that a game-day spread calls for, relying on plant-based ingredients,” with Moskowitz stating in the book:
“Super Bowl is the time of year to eat like Guy Fieri: with wild abandon. Out comes the hot sauce, the creamy dips, the bready breads, the cheeseburger everything, and nothing is safe from nacho sauce.”
And what are the snacks highlighted? Buffalo Chickpea Pitas, Warm Artichoke Dip, and Sour Cream & Onion Potato Skins, with the recipes for the first two included in the feature! So whether you are counting down the days until Super Bowl Sunday, or just keeping an eye out for delicious game-day inspired recipes (like me), check out the feature (and cookbook!) for some guaranteed crowd-pleasers!
