McDonald’s Unveils McVegan Burger in Finland
“At the moment, the McVegan can only be found at their outlet in Tampere, Finland, until the end of November. At the end of the trial, the fast-food chain will evaluate the burger’s performance and make a decision on its future.”
Christoffer Rönnblad, Marketing Director at McDonald’s Finland, stated that the response to the new patty, which is soy-based, has been “quite positive” so far.
Rönnblad also confirmed that the McVegan could be ordered with a side of fries care-free in Finland, as they do not contain beef fat or flavoring:
“Yes, they are made here in Finland from potatoes and baked in vegetable oil. The fries are completely vegan.”
